I've heard some people say that you should not keep spraying constantly, because when the car shifts it could hurt the tranny. Is there some sort of prevention method to this? I mean do any nitrous kits come with some sort of automatic switch that stops the spray when shifting or something like that so your tranny does not get hurt?

You can get a window switch for a manual, to cut the spray off if you go above or below a certain rpm range, which can help keep you out of trouble. If you powershift quickly enough, you may not need it.
I hear you can spray right through the shift in an automatic with no problem (as long as the trans is in good shape). I do in mine.

Thanks for the answer I have an auto so I suppose I will not need a window switch. I have 22k miles on the transmission so I hope it is in good shape I'm new to nitrous but I already know I need an FPSS to cut the nitrous if not enough fuel is supplied for safety and I have a friend that will help me install the unit once I receive it. One last question I would have about the whole thing is about fuel injectors. Will I need to install bigger ones once the nitrous is in? I will be getting a dry kit.

With my dry kit, there is a hose that applies pressure (instead of vacuum) to a port on the existing fuel pressure regulator. That boosts the fuel pressure from 40-45 up to around 60-65.
The increased fuel pressure, and the nitrous flowing over the maf sensor, should be enough.
You only want the increased flow while spraying. Increased capacity while not spraying (bigger injectors) often causes other problems with idle and part-throttle operation because the pcm can't adapt enough to the new injector size.
The increased fuel pressure approach only kicks in while spraying, so the n/a operation is unchanged.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>

I saw James trying to help ya, but I guess it didn't work and you had to get a shift kit. I hope mine works w/o me having to get a shift kit. I bet it all depends on the year of the car mileage on tranny etc.

Auto's and shifting while spraying are fine.
Manuals must have the nitrous turned off in between shifts
Manuals can use a wot and rpm activation wiondow switch
Do you need a shift kit, nope.
Wouyld I get one, of course :DRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
