It's particularly good on the M5 cars...It's an RPM activated switch, which absically will close the circuit (allowing the solenoids to open) at a certain RPM, and will close them at another (that way you don't miss a gear and F*** something up). But beware, it'll cost almost $50 to make it work on our cars! I found out the hard way.www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

So they did get it to work? I heard some people could get it to work but others couldn't. Guess it all got straightened out.
If you have a A4 only reason you would need it is incase you like to leave it in the gear your in and accidentaly forget or shift to late and bounce off the limiter. That and you won't have to wait until 3k to flip the switch, you can just flip it as you pull up to the light and floor it without worrying.1998 Red RS 3.8l A4
Whisper - K&N - N20 - 1LE Panhard - Ghetto STB - 255/50ZR16 Ecsta
Removed grille - Limo tint - blackouts - A-pillar cf a/f ratio
Panasonic DF88 - 1 12\" Eclipse 88120.4 - Eclipse 3322 amp
http://members.cardomain.com/raven_rs

No, but it is suggested for manuals.
Auto's not really needed though unless the above incident occurs.
