Which plate do you think I should run on nitrous, open or a smaller hole plate? It's 100 shot

Borla plate on nitrous

I believe james actually lost power when he ran a cut out when spraying on a 100 or 120? shot. So open probably wouldn't be a good idea. But the backpressure of the I-pipe might be enough, borla is 2.75"? I wouldn't go with a small plate though because you want to be moving alot of exhaust when spraying.1998 Red RS 3.8l A4
Whisper - K&N - N20 - 1LE Panhard - Ghetto STB - 255/50ZR16 Ecsta
Removed grille - Limo tint - blackouts - A-pillar cf a/f ratio
Panasonic DF88 - 1 12\" Eclipse 88120.4 - Eclipse 3322 amp
http://members.cardomain.com/raven_rs

I've had mine at the track once so far, with the nitrous. (although I have run through 3 bottles, just out and about...)
I had the completely open plate at the track, and ran 14.3 @ 98 on a hot and humid night with the 85 dry shot.
When running na, I believe the car is stronger overall with the closed plate. Don't know about when spraying though. I need to test this sometime.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

I haven't seen just the plate anywhere. You should be able to get it from Borla. Or try one of the sponsors on here, because they can probably sell it cheaper than Borla would.
You could maybe have one made, it's just a thin sheet of stainless, in a triangle shape to match the flanges. You could even get by with some other cheaper metal just to see how it would run and sound.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

I just have a 3 inch cut out
Cap closed 291 rwhp 362 rwtq
Cap opened 282 rwhp 335 rwtq
Dyno proven.
Hit the dyno and find out which works better for you.
I noticed that the cap open was much easier for traction, I guess that 30 rwtq and 10 rwhp lose was noticedRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
