  • More questions on 5175

First, thanks to everyone for their help while 12sec is out, you all have been very helpful. Ok the questions, can my fuel system handle a 75shot? How can I bump up my fuel system if I want to run more later??? What exactly is the fuel pressure regulator that 12sec has? What does it do/cost etc. Thanks again.

Can the stock fuel system handle a 75 shot?
Well, technically a good working fuel system should have no problem's.
NOS's dry kit comes with jets for 85 hp with a stock fuel system
NX's wet kit comes with jets for 75 hp with a stock fuel system
These systems are designed not to tax the stock fuel system beyond its capabilities.
Again, this is on a good working fuel system.
Well, bumping up, if you plan on running higher nitrous levels I really do suggest switching to a wet system, sure I got away with a 120 hp dry system forever but honestly wet and higher amounts is much smarter!!
The only upgrade that could be needed is a drop in 255 lph walbro pump, magnus runs one!!
As for my pretty afpr, well, it raises the fuel psi :D
Where can you find it and how much? You can't, they redesigned it and now the new design will not work on our cars, sorry.
    Anything else?

Yeah If I go higher I will probably get an NX kit cause I can get it at cost. A Buddy of mine has a wet kit setup that I think is awesome. It has its own fuel tank and a huge pump just for the nitrous kit, so when he turns on the nitrous, he turns on the fuel pump and they run together. He gets great results with it (Upwards of 70HP on a 60 shot). It seems safer as well. What are your thoughts on a system like that for a 3.8?

        Overkill for our cars.
I've seen people have a 1 gallon tank in place of the battery and run race gas in there.
If someone was running high compression, or a high shot or hard core engine then maybe but not needed for our cars
