ok so we were finaly finished installing the nitrous, all i had to do was hook a line up to the battery for the purge. (which is way cool, I shoot out the two front nostrils, so it looks like a bull snorting) well the fíng side mount fell back while i was trying to hook it up, and it hit the steel braided nitrous line, welded to it, melted a hole init immediatly and sent 15 lbs of nitrous into the atmosphere, now i am out a line, i went to summit to order anew one but I am not sure if it is the #4 or #6 i have the NX wet kit if any one could tell me which one it is, that would be great

Sorry to hear that but why did you have the bottle on?
Make sure everything is hooked up and wired first.
You have a 15 pound bottle?
Well, you could always call nx just to be sure.

                You think that is bad?

I know a guy w/ a v6 bird (doesn't have it anymore, hehe) that installed a 75 shot wet kit into his car.

First time out at the track w/ it, he was having all kinds of problems, and I did warn him a little to let up on it and try it another day.

Next run, gets to the 60' mark, I wasn't watching, but I hear this loud pop from the other side of the track.

The gas puddled in his intake and the nitrous backfired, blew a hole in his lid, a dent in his hood from the clip off the lid (which was on the track somewhere I guess), K&N melted.

Found out a couple weeks later he warped his heads.

                Be careful with nitrous!

doh!, the lid into my hood wont be a problem for me, i have seen it happen way to many times, so i put on a safety wire accross it.

Actually I would remove the safety wire.
If there is an explosion you would want the lid to give way first. If it does not then the explosion must go elsewhere. It will find the weakest link.

no, i have it set up where it can blow the hell out of the lid if it needs to, its there to keep the lid from missing up the hood.
