• Must Spray!! Can't Spray!!!!!!

I've posted a couple topics in various places about this but no one has really given me any ideas and I have new developments.

Well I did a ghetto air silencer removal months back and had the code for the AIC valve being shut off. So I waited for my lid to get here and went back to have it cleared and it came back in 10 minutes. I've had it checked a couple times at autozone and it's the same code. Then I brought it to an expensive auto shop around here for diagnosis and to find an oil leak. They said the code was a missfire in two of the cylinders and they mentioned nothing of the AIC. But they also told me the oil leak was lower intake and it wasn't. So I had it taken somewhere else for the oil leak and they said it was another code, can't remember what maybe electrical related, I'll ask my dad what it was. So basically I have no idea whats wrong with my car. I'm replacing the wires with some Taylor Spiros this weekend instead of the cheap burned ones I just put on a couple months ago. Is there a possibility a spark has been jumping from the melted wires and screwin with the computer? Oh yeah and I replaced that AIC valve a while ago, somehow I'm sure that if I go to autozone that code will come back up. Does anyone have any recomendations? I've been itchin to flip the switch and a bunch of my friends are goin to the track in not to long. Oh so close but yet oh so far

Get those wires on, clear the computer and head to autozone. Get a fresh code if it comes on at all. Then we'll go from there.

EDIT - Oh yeah write down the actual code and not just what they tell you it means.

P1652

Thats the one for the AIC. I never got a code number from the other two but I'm sure the missfire is P300 and P500 or what ever those codes are. Its the drivers rear two I think. The last one I have no idea, not sure if they ever gave me a code.

P1652 is actually Fan 2 Relay Control Circuit. Just means your fans are on high when they're not supposed to be. If you have a manual fan switch this code is normal and you can ignore it.

Are you freakin serious? I'm gonna go get it read again tomorrow, I might have transposed two of the numbers. Could be 1625 or I could be completely wrong. You wouldn't happen to know the code for the AIC? Well no matter how you put it I hope it's just a problem with the fan like you say, then it's off to fill the bottle get another jet and get a push button for my purge psssst psssst :D Man I can't wait

Yeah man, regardless of what the codes were, clear you cpu then try to throw a light again. Get some fresh info. All of those different diagnoses leave us confused as hell. Put the NGKS in and the wires on first!

Ok, I went to have it read again and got P1652 again and 306. According to them 1652 is IAC valve has been shut off or reset (not sure) by PSP switch. So considering they're right what the crap is a PSP switch?

Then according to the topics posted above 1652

DTC P1652 Powertrain Induced Chassis Pitch Output Circuit

What the crap is that? Jesus H Christ, this is just getting more and more confusing.

Go ahead and read this topic, it should clear up a lot of questions.
http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=16&t=000690

Those idiots at Autozone are so ****in stupid
P1652 is listed wrong in the archive also, I've told them to update it already. It seems its listed differently just about everywhere. At http://www.obdii.com/codes.asp they list P1652 as Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit Output. The meaning of each code also changes by Manufacturer. I drive around daily with P1651 (Fan 1 relay control circuit) and P1652 (Fan 2 relay control cicuit) because of my manual fan switch. Do you even have a manual fan switch? If not, you could really have a problem with your fans.

   My freakin brain is going to explode, thats like 6, 7, 8..... codes that my problem could be. I've lost count. How do I find out what the code is for sure and what it means?

Fan problem-No I don't have a manual fan switch
IAC/PSP-Replaced IAC and don't know what PSP is
VSS-Output Circuit, um yeah
Powertrain Induced Chassis Pitch Output Circuit-Um, yeah again

Excuse me while I proceed to kick the dog, pull my hair out and throw my nitrous bottle out the window...

Ok, I feel better. Now I'm gonna go into the general board and post a topic about the mysterious P1652 and see how many more explainations I can find

Actually no I didn't reset the computer, I'm living in a dorm now so my ability to do anything with my car is cut to nothing here. But somehow I don't think that the same code I've had for probably 6 months is going to randomly dissapear and turn into something else, although it's possible. In the past I've reset and gone to have it read with the same results. I'll probably do it again this weekend though to make sure. I put my topic in gen but somehow I don't think I'm going to get any help, I've posted there, advanced and intake/exhaust and no one has given me anything usefull. Last resort is the dealer but I hate dealers, charge to much and I don't trust them. I hope it doesn't come to that.
