get a nitrous express (nx) wet kit part #20920. I got it for 469.99 brand new drop shipped to me off a gentlemen on ebay. click here to see the kit on ebay
Its rather easy to install, the quality is great, solenoids are warrantied for life, etc.
The only problem is that you probably will use up the bottle faster then you think. I did atleast. Seems like a get about a minute and a half total usage outta it until the bottle is totally empty.
It gets expensive fast refilling the bottle at that rate.

well, considering one has intake and cat-back--how much hp of a nitrous shot is SAFE to use on an otherwise stock (engine speaking) car.
i dunno, it sounds a little stupid, but i'd like to know myself if it's really bad for the engine or if the risks of having nitrous are pretty big as far as blowing up your car. heh, i'm just concerned that if i buy the kit then i'd need bigger injectors and a fuel pump to run it completely safely. i would just like some sort of guarantee that STOCK EVERYTHING will be ok for nitrous.
i'm a little torn between the two: nitrous and a torque converter. i might can get a torque converter for about $750 installed, but i don't know--the kit on ebay is only about $500 and it would probably drop my e.t. twice as much as the verter would.

that intake and exhaust won't affect it much at all, if you have a 3.8 definately would be fine with a 75 horse shot and probably 100 shot.
I run a 75 shot on my 3.4 with 105,000 miles, motor is bone stock, except for a louder muffler and a cold air intake.Check out my car @ <a href=\"http://www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html\" target=\"_blank\">www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html</a> <br /><br />It\'s not what you make, it\'s what you spend! <br /><br />1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4, m5, t-tops, silver exterior, gray interior.<br /><br />Many modz! check out the site for details!

forget the converter, way to expensive for the gain you will see. You can gain 75-100 horse on a stock setup leaving in the stock pump and injectors.
go for the nitrous....Check out my car @ <a href=\"http://www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html\" target=\"_blank\">www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html</a> <br /><br />It\'s not what you make, it\'s what you spend! <br /><br />1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4, m5, t-tops, silver exterior, gray interior.<br /><br />Many modz! check out the site for details!

a fpss will help ensure you always have fuel pressure. without fuel pressure you have no gas which means you run lean and blow motor.
also a window switch helps on a manual shift car as well as automatic. helps keep you from activating the kit at the wrong times. (wrong rpms that is).Check out my car @ <a href=\"http://www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html\" target=\"_blank\">www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html</a> <br /><br />It\'s not what you make, it\'s what you spend! <br /><br />1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4, m5, t-tops, silver exterior, gray interior.<br /><br />Many modz! check out the site for details!

sorry, but you won't get a guarentee from me.
The first time you spray could be your last.
Nitrous is not safe.
Sure you can do many things to be safer, but not guarenteed.
As for g money, ask your buddy who builds dragsters. He can answer how safe it is. It just plain is not, I'm not going to lie to you. NOS kit 5175 is a great beginner kit for the 3.4 and 3.8 v6 f body
Only4u, get the converter. It will feel much faster off the line. Typically .3-.5 reduction, with traction of course.
I went from 15.3 to 14.5 with mine. I also had light weight k member, a arms, ported intake done so those parts helped.
Exhaust is by far the best thing to do to maximize a nitrous system. Then intake is next.
Try a search for all the safety precautions that can be doneRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

I have the FPSS, the wide open throttle switch and a manual button on the shift knob. That way I can't run out of fuel, I can't juice it at idle or anything and I am ALWAYS in control of it. I have had no problems on a 65K Motor. But like 12sec said, since every car and every install is different, there is no gaurantee.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
