MSD window switch with factory ignition (update 10/03)

Yes, definately would have been easier to go ahead and get the DIS-4, or at least the mallory switch that doesn't have to be modified. What I don't understand though, is that if I can hook an unmodified Autometer tach to the wire on the back of the ignition harness, then why can't I hook this MSD window switch there???

The answer lies within...One is Autometer, one is MSD.. MSD made theirs with a certain type of inoput signal in mind (not DIS)...And autometer took it into account and made it possible to do without modifying it. Kind of like computer companies selling printers without the printer cable...Necessitized accesory!
