• 100 shot is GOOD!!!

I finally decided to put it in tonight. It felt VERY strong! I don't know if I could go back to the 75 now, it juist doesn't compare IMO. But I did notice a ton of clutch slippage :( So my next mods will be clutch and race tires, instead of thre HPP3 I was planning on. Any other 5 speed guys with 100 shot? What clutches are holding up well for you?

PS..Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I debated it...Feel free to move it if need be.

Nope, it is fine here!!
Um, I know stefan has a stronger clutch.
There are a couple of other members who have them also.
Yes, there is a huge difference between 100 and 75!!!
You will never go back, I could not!!!
Best of luck and sorry about the slipping.
You do know that the hypertech would normally advance you timing which is bad with nitrous correct?

I'm using a SPEC stage 2 clutch. Hasn't even thought about slipping on me yet. Great clutch.

Slightly off topic, but he asked about other mods... is everyone still running on stock internals, or is anyone forged for the 100 shot?

Or better yet: how big of a shot can I safely* run on stock internals?

*yes, I know spraying isn't ever totally safe, but then again, neither is going to a party and getting sloshed.. you don't know who you're coming home with ;-P

you can run any size shot you want to, but with in reason. i have been running juice for a long time and never had any problems. remember nitrous doesn't blow motors, uneducated people blow motors.. as long as the fuel is there to support the n20 there shouldn't be a problem....i'm not saying it's all good to run a 200 shot, but you get my idea...

hey onequicksix.. what kit are you running, also what are your jets sizes. i'm running really fat with my wet kit..better to be safe than sorry

Ok, lets' see if I can cover the questions...

12Sec...Yes, I was told that the timing advance from the Hypertech was an OPTION, not a default-always on like the jet chip...Have you heard otherwise?

AZ3.8....Other mods include FTRA, whisper lid, removed MAF screen, 3.42+LSD, really all stuff that won't help you run a bigger shot. I am just very comfortable with my car, and have confidence that the fuel side is strong enough to handle the 100 shot.

Mike....I have the NX 20920 kit, jets are 52 for nitrous, 33 for fuel. NX's tech line said these jets are designed to run on the rich side, since the average nitrous user doesn't have a clue what's going on, or take any precautions to make sure they get enough fuel for safety's sake.

yea i'm running the same sizes. there are designed for the lt1, but the 3.8l and the ltl operate with the same fuel psi. this is how nx designs there jets. with my dynotune digtal guage i see around 990 milivolts @wot.. mind you this is one the bottle. i have the maft+ for n/a..

also did you retard your timing at all for the 100 shot. i left mine the same... ;)

Nope, I haven't touched it yet...I know it probably needs it, but until after the new clutch and tires, it'll have to wait.

Mostly what I was looking for was fuel system mods. So the stock pump can handle it huh? Sweet! I am still thinking about a walbro though.

I think a zex 100 shot is almost equal to a normal 75 shot. From what I have heard.

Onequick, I thought that if you use any of the hypertech tuning (not recalibrating for gears, tire height, fan temp etc) that it does automatically richen the mixture and advance the timing.
