Man I can't believe I took that long to do it, I've been missing alot. Drove into the middle of nowhere and found a road, hit it from 20-90 not to bad, was expecting better. Did it again from 30-100  Got onto a two lane highway and hit it again right off and held on for the ride  I hit 115 like it was nothing and stopped to stay away from the limiter. Man I love nitrous! When I got back I hit the switch coming into the lot and just melted one tire, no problem. This bottles gonna be empty before the week is over and before I know it I'll be on the street corner selling myself for just one more bottle! I'm already gettin the shakes....must...spray...nitro...........

and they say nitrous is better for your car because it isnt used as consistently as a SC or a TC lol I guess they dont count in the need for speed.

I pimp myself 3 times a week to afford my nitrous addiction.
It's not too bad, you get used to it :D

Seriously though, take it easy because it is addictive.
I sprayed through my first bottle in the first night.
Did you have a bottle psi guage? Or warmer? Those two things can make the nitrous system perform to their full potential. Incorrect psi can cut power increase substantially

Well that assumption will unfortunatley be true for me. I won't have the money to fill it often most likely. I tried goin out on the street but couldn't make more than $1.38 :( Guess I'll have to get some pointers from James.

No, the gauge didn't come on the bottle and I'm not about to spend $200 or how ever much on a warmer. I could probably pick up a bottle gauge rather cheap though.

I still can't believe that I have an honest addiction to this stuff. I'm sure it'll wear off a little when the bottles empty and so is my wallet

Oh yeah, check out my first nitrous kill in the kill section :D

well, w/o those parts the system will work.
If, eventually, you add them you will maximize the system.
If the psi is too low then it just doesn't hit that hard

if you know your gonna be racing within an hour and a half from leaving the house, put the bottle in the bath tub or sink full a hot water, the cover it with a blanket in your car, should keep pressure up,

ghetto bottle warmers HA

:D Sweeeeeet!

I'll probably give that a try next bottle once it starts to go low on pressure. I realized how much I really want a bottle warmer half way through this bottle, just gets kinda boring. At least it lets the fun wear off slowly so you don't miss it as much. Now I know why a remote bottle opener would be cool too. That way it's open only for a race, if I open it before I go out on a drive I'm more likely to use it when I'm not racing. Both good ways to make the bottle last longer. I hate being poor

Been there, done that.
It kinda helps but not for long.
It is a ***** just to get the bottle up to 1100 psi just with a warm water bath.
Then when you take it out, sure you can wrap it up, but temp or psi does not hold

Or you go do what a guy at the track calls a "new york bottle warmer". Some old guy took my friends bottle and fired up a propane torch  . We all knew not to do this, (it says so right on the bottle I believe) and were all quite scared. It worked but I wouldn't do it because I like my face without metal shards in it. Old folks are nuts! This method is highly not reccomended. The structural integrity of the bottle is weakened over time with repeated blasts of an open flame

went through the bottle in the first night? hell, my first bottle lasted about 4 minutes.

couple hits around the block and about 3 runs from 10-70 and the bottle was dead empty.

Actually it lasted me about a week. Most of it was gone the first two nights and I wanted to try save it for a race or two but that never really happened.

Since that bottle I've noticed a little more valve train noise and sometimes what sounds like a somewhat noisey lifter. Is this anything to worry about? My tranny was acting a little different that week too, I haven't had a chance to put in my cooler yet

I have had a clacking noise that I think is a lifter since I bought the car! It still drives alright. I will just wait until I do a cam and then I will replace as needed. You should be ok, unless it gets worse...
