Could everyone do me a favor and list the shot you are running, the gear/lsd configuration and tire setup, and then the main question, Hows the clutch holding up? I have good reason to believe that my "bad traction" at the track was clutch slippage. Oh, and if you have replaced your clutch, what brand/specs/price is it? Just want to see how much it can take, and if anyone else has my problem? Thanks,

A guy name Ironman24 have or had nitrous system (wet kit) on his car and the stock internals of T-5 held up when he ran 13.x? and something about 500 ft lbs of torque!! He's also one of the fastest or the fastest 3.8 t-5 n/a -- 14.4...

Im running a 01 camaro M5, N.O.S dry 75 with freemods, Y87 car, 3.32 factory LSD, Eagle GA 235/55/16. Times 14.1@99.50 with 2.1 shorts.
If you dont feather the clutch outta the hole it will hold well, just dont let it get a chance to slip, i had better times where outta the hole was on motor and would spray till 3/4 through 1st.1/4 14.1 @ 99
1/8 9.2 @ 77

I have 3.42 and lsd...I am on a wet 100 shot right now...I am running a stock clutch, and it slips like a mother! hopefully I'll be running a centerforce in the next few weeks...the 75 shot I was on had very little or no problem with clutch slippage. My clutch has around 20K miles on it right now. Right now even if I don't feather the clutch, and only do roll races, it still slips. Hope this helps.www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

The high torque number is due to a slipping clutch.
I would think that the stock clutch w/ a good driver can hold the 75-85 hp dry shots but any higher on a nitrous kit and I think the stock clutch will definately slip.
Centerforce is supposed to be good.
The only person off the top of my head that has an upgraded clutch is stefan.
I know there are more around though

Well, my centerforce held up great at the track...no slippage at all. But the only time i had it on the dyno it slipped for a brief second as soon as i hit the juice. The track and street is alot more forgiving than a dyno.

My clutch also has 65K on it, so I think it may be worn as well.
As 12sec said, I think it can hold the 85 shot, but the guy who filled my bottle put an extra half a pound in it (I told him not to do it again), so it was a bigger than 85 shot.

I'm running a 100 wet shot with a SPEC stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel. My regular tires are 255/50 Kumhos on 16" rims. They just spin with the nitrous, but my drag radials are nitto 275/50s on 15" Welds. They hook right up and it doesn't even phase the clutch (even spraying off the line). No solid nitrous times with the drag radials - something goes wrong every time. Ran 14.3@99.98mph on street tires spinning through the 1/8 marker (not kidding). I might be able to get some times down on Saturday if I go to Gainesville for brackets though. I'll let ya know.
EDIT: Oh yeah, 3.23 rear with torsen LSD.

It does not matter how much is in the bottle, you will always have the jets for an 85 hp shot level in there.
I've had the local nitrous shops sometimes stuff 11 pounds in a 10 pound bottle, this does not mean I've got a 115 hp tnt shot

Well, jets are fixed so hp can not go up or down.
PSI can affect the amount of nitorus for example if you have 400 psi you have jets for 85 hp, max shot could be 85 but due to psi you might run lower

Yeah I do. I can't figure out what it was then. First run on the tank, 3rd run overall. I hit it in 2nd and the revs went up like they normally do on nitrous (maybe a little faster) but the car didn't really "kick" like it should. Every run after that it was fine (except the FPSS problem). I guess I will just hope it doesn't show up again eh?1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
