Ok here is the deal i am about to spray again after compressing 12 lifters on my last runs at the track. I use to be able to dead hook a 75 shot and pull a 1.7 60 foot. on stock suspension and nittos on the read and stock tires up front.
Now i still have th nittos and i also now have weld prostar 15x3.5 skinnys and bmr control arms and bmr panhard bar. What are the possibilty of me dead hooking a 100 shot im going for a record time for me any help would be appreciated.

Hee hee, do you want me to be honest?
On the 120 dry shot and stock converter I could dead hook to a 1.731 best.
I switched to the wet kit and converter
75 shot I could dead hook.
100 shot melted my drag radials set at 20 psi w/ good smokey burn out.
I would spin to a 2.1 60 and run 12.8's
I bought et streets, 26 x 11.5 x 16's and set them to 16 psi.
I dead hooked once and pulled a 1.630 60 and lost the tranny on that run
It took me 4 passes to figure out how to launch again though.
I physically could not hook on nitto drag radials, converter, and 100 shot.
I have relocated weight since then so maybe I might get better traction but not dead hooking.
Time for et streets, then later a 12 bolt :(

What if I got some 15x10 weld prostars and mounted some like 26-12.5/15

Might be time to rethink that progressive controller, hit 75 off the line, then bump up to 125 after 2 seconds, by then you should have traction. Dammit Kris, i gotta order my pit crew shirt so we can hit up HRP and get those times.
Undo your front sway bar on track day and work with your tire pressures. Avoid the water before burn out and heat them up well.
Next I would look at your shocks and springs as well. What you should do is use Sealy for practicing your launching. Sealy is a bit loose and it will help to figure out your weakness on the launch

no sway bar as of last week and i am just gonna mount ET streets

You can also try getting a set of stock V6 springs from SLP and taking 3/4's of a coil off. Useed only for the track of course. In fact, I might still ahve a cut set. I'll check tomorrow.

So what all needs to be done to the stock tranny in order for it to handle a dead hook on et streets? Didnt you have massive tranny work before james? Like all those kevlar bands and what not, what went in the tranny?
Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,
If you run et streets then lower the psi to 16.
Roll through the water box and give a quick snap of the rear tires just to get them wet. Do not spin thm hard because then water will spray into the wheel well and drip down when you ar staging and you will spin
Roll out of the water box and stop in the burn out area.
Spin them, you will see smoke, keep on going, then let off the brakes and floor it.
Come out spinning, if you suddenly let off and the et streets grab this is how parts are broken.
Stall it up and let her rip.
ET streets and a 100 shot w/ the correct burn out will hook
Cutting springs is a no no

Your talking about eveyday driving as a no no. I'm talking about track use only. Read back at my post. Look back through the past eiteh GMHTP or Chevy High perform mags. There wa an article describing the proper way to do this.

Well, this is a mod I would never do to my rides nor would I suggest it to anyone else.
Springs (if I am correct) are typically a progression style. The outer rings are there for slight compression. The inner rings are there for more harder compression.
I think this is correct but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. This is what I have read up on and learned about. If you went ahead and cut a ring or two off the top or bottom you would hurt your slight compression. The harder the compression the more difficult it is to get correct weight transfer for launching.
