• fpss install question

A friend and I are trying to install the NOS 5175 kit and we can't figure out what is going on with the fuel pressure safety switch. The fuel rail test port is male. The kit comes with an extension tube for the fuel rail test port, but the end of it is male as well. The fpss seems to have a male connector also. How do we connect the fpss to the fuel rail test port extension tube? Thanks for any help.

My extension was a 90 degree section of pipe, with flared ends. Over the flared ends, were female ends. One matched the schrader valve, and one matched the fpss.

hmmm...I guess that's the problem. Only one of the ends of my extension has a female end. I'll call NOS tomorrow and ask if I need a new part.

Here is the post
FPSS Switch Part numbers

You only need one of those if you have the part with two male ends, one shrader and one flat, then you just need a female to female adapter.

No problem!
The part you need is simply a sleeve looking thing, that connects the FPSS to the 90 degree part. But the FPSS and the male end of your 90 degree tube have to both be flat and not schrader. Just call NOS and tell them that you need either one of the 2 part numbers (Which ever one is a male to male adapter.) It took them a while to look up which part I needed, so I decided to write it down so not eveyone will have to wait as long as I did.
