I was under the impression that nitrous worked well with high compression as long as your octane was high enough...

You are right but who here wants to run off race gas anytime they spray so u lower compression to beable to spray a high shot with pump gas

im running about 10.0.1 compression or somewhere around there its all good. ok i will buy the direcdt port kit , now you guys say about plumbing, im sure the shop i have the kit installed at can do the plumbing, right?? I mean if they install nitrous they should be able to do this you would think anyway. What all needs to be "plumbed"? Thanks for any input its appreciated. one last question, do i have to run a dual stage shot with direct port or is that just another option i could go with? I dont really want to buy another bottle and heater and purge would i be able to just use a single stage?

Ok so here is the list of what i have and will have for my direct port nitrous if i am missing anything at all i mean anything that i would need to properly run a direct port shot please feel free to reply and help me and everyone else out im sure it is appreciated ok here is the list.

            1. nitrous express direct port v6 efi kit part number 80006EFI
            2. Genx2 kit
            3. walbro in tank fuel pump 255lph
            4. maft+ to tune for fuel and timing on and off nitrous
            5. custom pcm programming remove speed limiter raise rev limiter so i wont hit it on nitrous set shift points etc.
            6. forged internals
I am having this nitrous system professionally installed by the local nitrous installation shop im sure they will do all the plumbing necessary, ok guys and ladies please let me know if i have missed anything, anything at all that would be required or just safe to run a direct port shot that i may have missed, please reply i would like to hear alot of opinions on this matter thanks everyone.

I believe the pistons are 9.8:1 or else 10.0:1 i will try and get ahold of the machine shop guy, I know he said with the milled heads and everything including the pistons i should have around 10.0:1 cr. I told him what the stock cr was, well he knew anyway but he made sure all the geometry was correct so i will have adequate piston/valve clearance and he just really did a great job, I do have one question, ok what if this happened what would the outcome be? Ok say if i had 9.8:1 cr and the guy used pistons that were below this cr would that make my cr go down? and if i had 9.8:1 cr and he used 10.0:1 cr pistons would that make my cr rise?, if so how much thanks guys

Well the pnly problem i see is that if u have 10.1 compression if u spray a big shot say 200 total shot u will need racegas
