I do not know what you are talking about ;)

Ok, well to the new people, welcome!!!
Nitrous is loads of fun, but you must be careful.
Using the search button will be very benificial also.
Typical kits, nos 5175 for a dry kit seems to be the popular one.
As for wet, nx first and then tnt for popularity.
Magnus and I both run tnt.

I personnally think for the first time you should stick with a kit meant for a v6 because you don't want to deal with missing parts or whatever you might come across

FYI, a 75 shot got me down to a 13.05 on a hot day. Most likely I could have seen 12's on a much cooler day.

Wet vs dry. Common question. Wet is not designed to work well with our intake manifolds. Puddling of fuel can occur and a nice damging explosion can occur if activated at low rpm's.
Wet sprays nitrous and fuel behind the maf for best results.
Dry kits just spray nitrous before the maf and rely on the injectors to supply fuel. Injector lock up can occur.
The minimum parts are the kit, fuel pressure safety switch, bottle psi guage and warmer really should be done.
Anything else is an extra but most likely a benifit.

Any questions just ask away

I was just letting them know that when your are new, some people are rude to you and rudely tell you to search etc. It seems that everyone here in the n2o forum is nice though, so you shoudn't have a problem. Just don't get discouraged by one or two rude people (Although most of them are gone now anyways..)

I have not heard good things about zex or venom. Last time I was at the track I was talking to two guys (1 had a zex, the other a venom) the zex kit worked, but his times still sucked (on an 85 shot) and the venom kit wouldn't ever work. Its computer controlled so when its not happy, it won't work. I guess that could be a good thing! :D

I think i am going with the NOS 5175 kit. I am going to by everything hopefully at one time so...
here is the list of what I am going to get, please feel free to add anything that might be useful:

1. the 5175 kit
2. purge
3. bottle heater
4. remote control bottle open
These are the bigger things now I know I need a FPSS, window switch and various guages, plugs, etc. Can anyone tell me EVERYTHING that I would need for a nice setup. Also I would thing I need 4 guages maybe??? some guage pods or some in AC vents??????

thanx for all of your help on deciding. Hopefully Im going to go get the book, 12secondV6 recommended "nitrous best way to use it, something something someting"

Also for anyone in a Michigan area (just thought I would check) If you help with the install since I have a feeling it will be a ***** with all these various extra goodies I want. YES your services will be paid for.
I got stuff...

http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum

oh and by the way once I get this setup. With a 75, 85, 100 shot don't know which yet, probaly 85, but I think I should be able to break into the 14's. What do you think? My car is a stick by the way...

Good traction
decent 60' time
nitrous sometime within the 1/4
should equal= 14's right?

I don't think my car can take a 85 out of the hole can it? Probaly not.

Oh another question is how hard is it to put all or most of the buttons/switches inside the ash tray? I smoke but not in the car.

I have my manual fan switch in the ashtray so I made a custom switch panel under my steering wheel area. Pics in the sig.

NOS kit 5175 is a good kit.
On a 120 dry shot I got it down to a 13.4 on street tires.
14's and manual on an 85 shot, just practice.
FPSS is a must.
As for guages:
nitrous pressure guage
fuel psi guage is good
air/fiuel ratio is good

Hey guys. More questions again. Still wondering about the Nitrous Works kit and your guys' opinions about the kit. It's like $470. Kit #NWW13080. Found it at http://www.rpmoutlet.com/nworks.htm
Thanks,

I haven't heard anything bad about N.W., Basically as long as it isn't computer controlled or have some "smart box" then it should be pretty easy to work with and hook up because it should be realitively similar to most other kits. If it has solenoids and a FPSS switch, then its probably ok. If your kit doesn't work or whatever and you have some mystical "Smart Box" than who knows where to start diagnosing it...

Yup, I haven't heard any bad things about nitrous works.
Should be a basic install.
Get pics and update us on it
