  • new bottle location.. got some ?'s

ok my bottle used to be mounted on thr rear deck of the car. i moved it up in between the rear seats,(looks much better there). the bottle fits perfect, but with the mounting brackets i'm not able to get the bottle at the 15 degree angle that it needs to be. the bottle is perfectly level which is not good. how cause i raise it up. i was thinking longer screws with washers, but i think that would look crappy. what do you all think.

I had the same problem when I mounted my bottle there. I was going to try to make a small stand for the front brackets, maybe wood or something, and cover it to match the car. It would just need to contour to the hump and kind of "saddle" it so that it propped up the front brackets. Next problemw as when I got that done, the rear brackets had to be bent to hell to get them to sit flat on the hump so that I could get a screw down.

so i'm thinking i might keep it level or go shopping at home depot and fab something up.. one thing for sure is that the bottle is staying there. it's so convenient.. no bottle opener required.

Agreed, I loved that spot...But I ended up feeling that it was better to take out one of the rear seats for the bottle to sit there, and have optimal performance, rather than just looks. I always felt like something straight out of TFATF when the bottle was sitting on the hump.

Build a wooden "Stand" if you will and cover it with matching interior carpet.
I built a wooden stand for my brackets in the trunk.

I put mine in place of the rear seats.

Yea yea yea...I hate to say it, but the ricers were in awe of my car when it was mounted there. It was more of a convenience thing than anything, since it doesn't require removing one of the rear seats. But I decided why not, nobody likes to ride back there anyway!
