I put a dry kit on mine with 80,000 miles. Then bumped it from an 85 shot up over a 100 shot.
Anything can happen, whether you have have 10,000 or 100,000 miles...\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>

The dry vs. wet question comes up a lot. Dry is probably a little easier, and a little safer. Wet is more flexible (can go with a bigger shot), and tends to "hit" harder off the line.
NOS 5175 is the most popular dry kit.
Some of the wet kit guys can give you their opinions. I think tnt is pretty well liked.
As far as what shot to run, as long as you don't start out with 100+, you should be ok. At the same time, anything can happen, even with a 50 shot. Getting the safety equipment installed before using the kit is important (fpss, window switch, etc.)
You can carry the kit over if you swap to a v8, no problem.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>
