Ok I am putting in a limited slip VERY soon, and I was wondering if anyone has managed to use the juice in first gear with a LSD on street tires? I know I still cant just plain launch it with the nitrous on street tires, but maybe a couple feet out? If I juice it anywhere in first gear now it just spins. Will it hold up now?
Basically how should I launch with a LSD rear on nitrous and on street tires?
Slicks are coming slightly soon too.

Spinnnnnning all the time :D
Actually I got to a 13.4 with michelin XGT v 255 50 16's at 30 psi street tires and a 120 dry shot.
I stalled the converter (stock at the time), launched n/a, watched the nose go up, then come down and then I hit the nitrous.
Anything sooner and major spinning.
This was done with a quick snap of the tires to clean them off.
It all depends on your current tires, treadwear, temp, traction compound etc
Just realized, you have 275 40 17's, With my BF goodrich zr40's, stock converter, 342 gears, lsd, 30 psi I grabbed in overdrive at 80-85 mph
Good luck :D

Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

Well I have 3.23s and the 275/40s are VERY close to stock height. I run them usually at 25 or so at the track and they a less than 3000 Miles old.
(Working at the tire shop has its advantages)
THey are AA traction, but A in temp which keeps them from getting hot and sticky.
We shall just have to see I guess. I will wait "till the nose drops" I suppose. (Not that it rises much). :D
