  • Need some info on spark plugs

Hey guys I have been thinking a lot about putting a 75 shot on my car. I was reading and have been told many time that all I would have to do to run the NX kit I want is to go to either a 1 or 2 step colder plug. Is this correct and if I do this will my NA performance be hurt any? I mean I'm not going to be running the N20 all the time so I dont want to lose any NA power. Thanks for the help. -Vic-

All the hassle to change to NA plugs then back to nitrous plugs is not worth it. I can not feel a difference but I have never compared track times or dyno. In theory you would lose power but by the way the car feels with TR6's I really didnt notice a difference.

True, very true, in theory it should go slower.
I am too lazy to proove this

Thanks for the help guys. Now I just have to decide what to do. I mean a friend has a NX system that he got for his car...but...he wont be running any sooner than February 2003. This means he will let me run it to see how a 75 shot will run on my car. I'm just worried that 1. I'm not going to want to give it back. 2. What plugs do I run. 3. Is it worth setting everything up for only a couple of months of running. 4. Will I do any damage to my motor that has been so good to me with 86500 miles on it. I have another question if you guys don't mind answering. What do you think I will run with a 75 shot and the times and mods I have listed in my signature? Assuming I hit it in like 2nd gear. Go to the parts store and get some NGK TR6's....ask for part number 4177. As far as the bench racing goes, I'll leave that for someone else.

Will these plugs affect cold starts at all?
