Anyone running multiple stage setups? If so, how are you doing it? I was just giving some thought to this and was wondering is there really any benefit to doing this. The parts would add to the cost but I'm not sure if there is really any GOOD reason to do it?

No one here is running one.
The benifits:
Each cylinder gets the exact same amount of nitorus and fuel.
With a plate system it us up to the flow of nitrous just going through the intake manifold and then into each cylinder.
For higher hp applications launching on 200 hp is quite hard, but launching on a 100 shot and then in 2nd gear (or whatever point you desire) hitting the second 100 shot is much easierRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

That sounds like a direct port setup. How does a (lets say duel stage) setup control even distribution to each cylinder?

Great I was wondering if there was a benefit.
Here's a loop for you then, one our engines, if a duel stage setup were to be ran, how about 1 stage 50 shot dry befor the TB and then a second stage 25-50 shot wet after the TB (to avoid puddling & less taxation on the limited fuel system)Not a problem, just a challenge...

So, a total of 75 to 100 shot?
Honestly its not worth it.
In my opinion a multi stage system might be as follows, 100 wet off the line first stage
50 wet (dunno about dry) second stage

Since it costs about the same amount of green, I would personally just pill higher to start with and use a progressive controller. Well, progressive controllers are $450 to $600
Multiple stage systems just require a fuel and nitrous solenoid extra, max $250
Both progressive controller and multiple stage system's require extra wiring

Exactly what you said, 4 solenoids (2 fuel and 2 solenoids).
You can have it set with rpm pills.
1st stage at 3000 rpm's
2nd stage at 4000 or 4500 rpm's

I'd be much more automatic than that, use a harlan window switch or variable pressure switch.
more wiring is involved in a dual stage setup, but thats the easy part!

yes, a "Y" fittings would in be involved.
What you would have to do is start with your normal setup. then branch off of the nitrous pipe with "Y" fitting and send it to your second jet with a solenoid in between to act as the "activator".
Then you wire in your switch to the solenoid to act as an activator. A RPM Winow switch would be set to open the solenoid at dictated RPMs. A pressure switch would open the solenoid at particular manifold/intake pressures. A manual push button, would open the solenoid when the button was pushed by the user.
I would probably through in a relay on the "master arm" switch to insure that the system was turned on first (or you could wire the switch through the 1st solenoid instead of the relay. That way the first solenoid would have to be active before the second switch could throw).
so parts need are per additional stage are:- Solenoid
- Plumbing & fitings
- "T" Fitting
- N2O Jet
- Activation Switch (button, pressure, or window)
- Some Wire & Connectors
- maybe a relay (depending on your preference)
If you shopped around, I be you could get the whole lits above for less than $100. the most expenzive piece is the solenoid and if you use a "universal" solenoid (instead of the name brands at summit) then you get equal quality with cheaper price.
I could probably draw up a diagram for you and e-mail it to you if that would help.
