It is basically a small shot designed to be hidden. From the looks of the kit, it is a dry system.

Unless you are hell bent on having no one knowing that you have nitrous, then this kit is really not worth it.

It won't be able to carry as large of a shot as a normal kit either. My Jeg's said 1 to 2 tenths in the quarter. That is equivalent to about 10 to 20 horsepower.

My dry kit 05175 is set for an 85 shot. There are a couple of guys on here running 100 shots. I think that James ran a 120 dry shot forever and had no problems until he upgraded injectors.

i think the kit comes w/30hp shots..and it will pick up a 8 second car .1-.2 in the quarter, it will prob help a slower car more, that is unless teh bottle runs out that fast..

Nitrous is never safe. I would say that the sneaky pete is even less safe because it is not tuned to ours cars.

You will have to make sure that you have the correct jet sizes for your car.

I would replace the spark plugs to NGK TR6's gapped @ .035, at the very least. Use a higher octane fuel. Nitrous thrives off of intake and exhaust mods.

Honestly, I do not think that you will be satisfied with a 30 hp shot. I'm not satisfied with my 85 shot.

Also, the bottle for the sneaky pete is pretty small. You would probably only get two good passes at the track, tops.

No matter what, don't use platnum spark plugs.

Check that, the sneaky pete system comes with a ten ounce bottle. This is compared to a standard ten POUND bottle.

You might have one good pass with that much nitrous.

Hey wicked69838, are you sure you posted that right? I seriously doubt a 30 hp shot will drop an 8sec car by .1-.2!

Since I'm the only one who has ever setup a sneaky pete kit on a 3.8 camaro (as far a I know) I'll give my review. The bottle is too tiny, it is good for only one pass. You can run a maximun of a 30 shot with this kit due to the small bottle, if you upgrade the bottle you can go with a larger shot. Yes it is safe, I know you can argue that nitrous is never safe but it's a 30 shot, so who cares. It is fully upgradeable, a solenoid is a solenoid, but in the long run it is probably cheaper to buy a real kit, after buying a 10 lb bottle, braided, purge kit, pressure gauge, and fpss, my total cost was in the $450 range, but I got some good deals. Finally performance, dollar for dollar I was actually impressed, I ran consistant 16.7's without the kit and with it ran consistant 15.8's, and the only mods I had at that time were a K&N and a flowmaster exhaust.

It's a REALLY old page that hasn't been updated in a long time but it shows what the sneaky pete kit looked like installed.

the sneaky pete comes with 3 size jets, 20, 25, and 30. It's very simple, the solenoid is attatched to the small bottle. The solenoid has two wires, one grounds and the other goes to the bush button switch. The push button switch has two prongs. One goes to the bottle (as I previously stated) and the other goes to the Toggle Switch (3 prongs). One of the other prongs gets grounded, and the last prong goes to the power source which is run off of two 9 volt batteries (this kit does not run off of your car battery). The casing for the batteries has two prongs, one goes to the "power source" prong on the Toggle switch and the other prong on the casing grounds. All in all, you have 3 grounds. The nitrous line going to your intake setup is a thin plastic line (which I dont trust). kit comes with two nozzles, one pointing straight down and the other goes 90* . I have heard of camaro v6's picking up a good .4 tenths off this kit from around here, others not noticing much.

But why spend the money on getting a kit that has definate limitations when you get spend the same or a bit more and get a completely adjustable kit from 20 to 150+ hp

I dunno, this is my arguement.

We have discussed the sneaky pete set up before. I'm not impressed with it.
It is specifically meant for carb applications so right off the bat you need to change it slightly and dump more money into it.

A 10 ounce bottle will not last a full quarter mile. A sneaky pete system is designed to give the average racer a completely hidden system and he/ she could spray the car and go .1- .3 quicker without anyone even noticing.

I see psi differences from start to finish with my 10 pound bottle, I guarentee the 10 ouce bottle will definately not maintain psi throughout the whole 1/4 mile.

Sure, jets, nozzles, solenoids and bottles are universal but why spend the money on a kit that has obvious limitations.

A sneaky pete system is meant to be sneaky, ya know, hidden?

If you wanna see more info on it we have discussed it before. Try a search in here and it is somewhere.

It's just my opinion that it is not worth it
