• my 75 shot is hitting like my old 100 shot!!!!!

well i did some major tuning today and my kit is working the best has ever been.I've had my kit for 2 yrs now and i finally got it working in top-notch form. my kit has always worked, but not to it's full potiental..

well i changed my plugs and wires(nkg tr6's and talyor wires). i also put a bigger fuel jet in(24) and i remounted my bottle to get a better angle for maximum flow.

i'm seeing .920 on the o2's while on the spray and i pulling very hard. my bottle pressure wsa a little low(900psi) i'm thinking if i had 200 more psi it would have hit even harder. i think the reason my kit was worknig so well today is cause i had to bypass the fpss. i know is this dangerous, but i had to do it. i think my has been shot for awhile cause i was always getting the surging effect and i counldn't pinpoint it. i'm callnig nx in the morning to get a new one. but all in all it working good. it just go to show that tuning is more important than the acutallty kit. 12's here i come

When you say tuning, what exactly did you do? I also noticed a BIG difference when I got the bottle mounted at a good angle instead of flat. Having the right air-fuel ratio is key...if you can get it in that good area instead of real rich on the juice, there's alot more power to be made, you are very close it looks like. I am ready to get on a dyno and see the wideband readings on mine!

ohh my bad.... tuning. i retarded the timing 3 degrees(actually helps) went to a smaller jet. i was running a 22 fuel for the longest time and the 24 works much better. installed new n20 guage(old one ws off by 300psi). i also put in a new shark nozzle. ohh i also replaced all the wires.

What did you use to retard the timing?

I run stock timing
Bottle psi is good around 1000-1050 for optimal use
DO NOT disconnect fpss under any circumstances.
The pulsing felt before was the FPSS doing it's job. It sensed fuel psi was low so it cuts the nitrous system in and out
You did richen it up so that might have helped.
You really should wideband it on the dyno
I know you are watching the millivolts on O2 sensors which is a good thing

Aso the bottle is supposed to be mounte at a 15 degree angle with the handle portion pointing towards the nose of the car and knob straight up in the air. Why 15 degree's and why knob straight up? Well this allows the siphon tube to be at the bottom of the bottle perfect for a complete pick up of nitrous down to the last drop

yea i'm going to get the car widebanded next week. i'm going to be some investigating tonight to see why the fpss is not staying on. it's set at 35 psi and my fuel pressure is in the 40's. so something is not right..

Bring many jets to the dyno, you would be amazed what the results will be.

Fuel psi when nitrous is activated climbs up to almost 80 psi

If you can not figure it out have the dyno shop take a look at it

Crap, sometimes I type w/o thinking
Actually I have not checked it when I am spraying with the wet kit.
Fuel psi should raise slightly with the wet, Fuel psi guage is broken now :(

Ok wait u are suppose to keep the bottle nipple pointed up. The part where the nitrous line screws on is suppose to be faced straight up well i didnt know that i have had it faced down for the longest time.

I want to know this too. Mine is facing down. I thought that is the way the instructions showed it...

When the nitrous gods taught me about the set-up and how to optimize it, they ALL said the part where your line screws in is pointed down.

The connection for nitrous is pointed down
The handle or knob is pointed up
There is a syphon tube in there that goes at an angle to the bottom of the bottle.
If you have a completely full bottle this should not affect your potential et's and mph's
This syphon tube and the angle towards the bottom of the bottle only comes into play when you are running less that a full bottle
