Track's are usualy the most expensive.
Ask your place if they use a cryopump or just freeze the bottle the night before

Several shops here in town lower their prices to $3 a pound until the end of March to get more winter business. Usually in the summer it runs $3.50-at the most $4 a lb.

Now, I'm not an expert on the juice by any means, but if the tank is filled by weight, then you are going to get charged for 10 pounds in a 10 pound tank *every* time. Or atleast you should be.

I played paintball for 4 years, and its the same deal when filling CO2 tanks. If the tank is filled by weight, then you MUST empty the tank all the way before you fill. You then put the empty tank on the hanging scale, and fill until it reads 10 pounds more.

If these tanks aren't filled by weight, then ignore me [img]smile.gif[/img]

They are filled by weight, but they do not have to be empty to fill them! Shops use a cool pump to fill them, which just pressurizes one side of the line, and the gas (as it is in the braided lines) goes to the lower pressure side (your bottle). Even if it's half way full, they can fill it, top it off, or whatever.

Whats the benefiet of a cryopump? I think the place I use down here just freezes the bottle

As for benifits of cryopump:
This will make sure you get a consistent 10 pounds in the bottle irregardless of outside temp and humidity.
When they freeze the bottle if it is humd or cool outside then it is difficult to get a completely full bottle.
I have come across times where my shop could only get 6-7 pound of nitrous in a 10 pound bottle due to outside weather.
With a cryopump this is not a problem cause it will just pump all 10 pounds in there [img]smile.gif[/img]
