Its because your installing the jets all wrong. You need to use 2 wrenches not just one. One wrench to hold the fitting on the nozzle and another wrench to tighten down the hose. If you use just one it will snap clean off.
I did this one time. And now I do it the right way and have no problems.
Also you dont need a new shark nozzle. You just need the silver peice which are very very cheap. You can get them from anybody that sells NX stuff.

well there problem is how do you get the old fitting out, i tried tapping it out, but that doesn't work. any advice..

I got mine out with a tap. If you cant then drill it out and re thread it. Or take it to a machine shop and they will get it out for cheap.

Yup, that would be the way to remove it.
I'm just curious how it broke and where it broke off???

Let me explain
Look at the pic here, its not the same nozzle but looks the same:
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...t?prrfnbr=3783
See the silver piece in the back that the jets sit on. Picture yourself tightening down the lines on this silver piece after replacing jets.
If you tighten the hose only it puts stress on the silver piece causing it to snap off. So if you put a wrench on the silver piece and the hose this wont happen.
It might be an NX thing but even one of my friends here in SLC did it to his.

Hmmm, yeah, when I change jets I just put one wrench on the nut and one on the actual nozzle (middle portion)Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
