• Strange leaking line

This is my fourth new line I've tried putting on my bottle and it still leaks. It doesn't leak out fast enough to find it, the line leaks out between 12 to 24 hours after you shut off the bottle. I have a swivel bottle nut adapter with a gauge attached to it and if I cap it off where the line attaches to it there is no leak at all. When I attach the line and plug the other end it leaks. I've tried new bottle nuts, different plugs, having it hooked up to the solenoid, I'm out of ideas, please help. I'd tried to get a hold of NOS without any luck.

I'm a little confused.
Take a look in my sig under the first page.
There is a shot of my nitrous bottle, guage and connection.
Are you talking about that set up?
Obviously it is not the line that is leaking.
First, do you have the white plastic O ring in the swivel connection?
Second, maybe the guage is leaking?

Soapy water works wonders finding leaks.
Take a filled bottle, heat it up to 1100 psi, pour on the soapy water and look for any bubbles.

Hopefully you have a similar set up to my connection and guage

Yes, same setup. Washer is in place and the gauge doesn't leak. If I cap it off where the line attaches it will hold pressure forever. Only when the line itself is attached does it leak. I've tried soapy water with the psi at 1200 and couldn't find anything. I've tried with it submerged in water, nothing. This is driving me insane.

I would get a very large container and fill it with water.
Leave the bottle, fitting, guage etc all attatched together and open up the valve.
Drop the entire assembly from bottle to braided line into the water.
The leak as to be somewhere.
Hmmmmmmm, that would drive me nuts.

Wait a minute....
So, you open the bottle and pressurize the line.
You then close the bottle valve correct?
And in 12-24 hours the line will lose that PSI?
If yes, that is normal.

That's normal? I never noticed that before. If that's normal then I don't feel so bad now. It still sucks that you lose that amount of nitrous though. So how does it leak after you shut off the valve?

Ok, lets say I have a full bottle.
I open the valve and my braided line from the bottle to the solenoids are pressurized correct?
I then shut the valve on the bottle.
Now, the line stays pressurized.
If lets say I do not purge the nitrous out of the braided line and just leave the car to sit overnight.
If I get into the vehicle first thing in the morning and hit the purge most likely nothing will be purged out, or if anything a very small amount.
Nitrous is just nitrogen and oxygen molecules.
It will seep out through the braided line wall and various fittings.

This is NOT a problem, this is normal.
I experience this

I guess everything is fine, I didn't realize that nitrous oozes out of the line. I topped off the bottle today and put a little squeeze on. It's been so long since I've sprayed that I had forgotten how great this stuff really is!

Thanks for the help 12second. :D
