Dang, huge post!!
Ok, a couple of things I can answer for you. I would suggest starting out with a slightly smaller shot, get that working like you want it, then go up from there. That way if you have any issues, you can get those straightened out. Plus the smaller shot is a little more forgiving if there are some errors, like running a little lean.
A window switch is most suited to a manual transmission car. It provides a "window" in the rpm band, where the nitrous will activate, typically it covers the range from 3000-6000, and not below or above.
edit - added three more things
Gears... 12sec runs 3.23's. He's got some good times as you've noticed... Magnus, I don't know where he is now, maybe 3.73's, but he's been trying to get all he can "all motor" so he's been using the gears to help there. You will get into the speed limiter, shift points, and speedo issues if you go with 3.73 gears. Lots more about that in the drivetrain forum. I run 3.42's and they're great for me.
Oh, and the maf screen, you will probably get better results if you leave it in. The angled tb's like it better in, the straights tolerate it ok with it out. Although if you have a long cold air intake tube, you might get good results with it out. You can try it and see.
Monitor your o2's or a/f ratio somehow when you start spraying. That will keep you out of trouble from running lean. And bring that spark plug gap down. The stock .060 is way too big when spraying.

On the 99 and up, the opening of the throttle body is pointed straight at the front of the car, toward the air box mounted on top of the radiator.
On the 98 and down, the opening of the throttle body is still pointed forward, but also pointed down and toward the driver's side.
I don't know the best place to get a window switch, since I didn't have to hunt one down for my automatic. I think there are some other recent posts in this forum about window switches that would help with that question though.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA
