• 93-97 Camaro Hood Purge

Okay, people are talking about putting their purge right there, do the little black things even come out? I know that they arent functional because they are plastic without holes in them, can wetake them out and make them functional in any way? Also I dont know weather or not this should be in Nitrous or Appearence. Moderators might want to move this thread.

Well it's been several years since I've seen it so I can't post a link to the guys site. But back in the day before camarov6.com and camaroz28.com there was a guy posting on v6fbody.com from europe who had drilled out every single one of those holes, he said it was easy but very time consuming

you can buy new billet hood inserts from MBA. RK Sport carries them, but you can cut the cost by goin thru MBA directly. They have pre-drilled holes that look sweet. Im going to be installing my nx kit this spring and i have plans to run a purge out of the passenger side scoop.

Can you put a purge there?
Sure, purges can be put anywhere.

Are you looking for HP gains just by opeing them up?
I highly doubt it due to small opening and your air intake is far from that area.

Does that help?

james is right. you can probably cut out the whole, jimmy rig in the inserts and run some tubing near the hood- i dont know- too much work- hurts my head thinking about it
