how many people who's car's are bottle fed use Zex?
skinny that's kinda interesting hot rod has sprayed a zex kit on one of their project 86 5.0 rustangs for a while now&no probs for them maybe bad luck or yet another person that didn't know how to hook it up? hot rod used an 75 shot&dropped their project stang from a>15.89 to a>14.12 so go figure, different strokes for different folks :D

Hmmm, I openly admit I can't wire anything to save my life :(
Not flaming you, just making a comment

*lmao* I know James I've read your post's bro it's cool :D this 1 time a buddie of mine kid had a>92RS real nice car, anyways I put a killer fosgate system in it he hit>138DB's with a couple of 8" old school punch dvc's&he came to me&said it was blowing main fuses all the time, so I asked him what did you do ryan? he's like well I took it when I went to the lake over the summer&I just put it back in the other day&it won't work, he had wired the pos-negative&vica versa it was so funny I re wired it replaced the fuse&he was rattling my windows as he rolled off
Actually the guy wasn't ver intelligent in the nitrous (or car modding in general for that matter), so I wouldn't be suprised if it was hooked up wrong. We actually all got a really good laugh over it, except him of course.

sucks for him! but like I said don't mess with **** you don't understand or have any knowledge off in the end if you touch the stove your always gonna get burned
there is no difference in the NOS/NX/ZEX/TNT kits...all thats inside that little box is the same solenoids and a FPSS...same as the other kits...they just tell you its safer when its the same exact thing...also the ZEX kits are very over rated...a 50 shot on a honda civic added like 33 RWHP on horsepower TV..its cheap but i wouldnt waste my money on it...

so has anyone tried a zex wet kit than? what do you think James should I get a Zex wet instead of dry, if so why is wet better than dry? thanks for the posts&help everyone
oh well, I'm a little late. I've used the ZEX dry kit for over a year, with no problems. I'm going to be upgrading, but running the 75 shot jets I held my own with LS1's. I never went to the track, just on the street. I like the setup due to it's simplicity, and if setup properly you shouldn't have any issues running lean. The ZEX shots are usually overrated, but again thats due to it metering nitrous off bottle pressure. IMO it's awesome for a basic kit, but when you get to bigger HP levels, you need to turn to another brand.
hey,
just wanted to say im also running zex, ive went through about 3 bottles now and i havent had any problems, yeah install was easy, and the kit was cheap, lowered my 1/4 mile by a second, so im happy, although i plan on getting the powerpack and upping it to a 100-shot, with a bottle heater in the spring, so i have to give my approval to zex, i think that alot of people (not necessarily on here) just dont like it because they correlate the zex name with the sport compact industry, but until i have any problems i have to endorse it.

I used the zex kit for six months on my 5.0 and now I have it on my camaro and I still have had no problems whatsoever. The shot sizes are over rated but you can overcome that by simply using different jets. Also about the kit that sprays through the filter it is not designed for our cars because the nitrous would have to go through the mass air flow and that can screw things up. The mass air flow would try and compensate for the nitrous and if I remember right iw would cause you to run really rich. When I was trying to figure out where to mount my nozzle I called zex and they told me not to mount it in front of the mass air flow. So I had to tap the housing after the throttle body butterfly. Other than that I love the kit and have yet to have a problem with it. I also dropped over a second and half with the kit jetted for a 100 shot.

hey 1sweetsix....
that wasnt your 1/4 mile time in your sig after the zex was it? if not what are you runnin on the 100 shot? and what engine do you have, since im thinkin about upping to the 100 shot nozzle, im using the 75 right now.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
