i know this is a stupid ? but when you have NOS and you just street do you just hit a button and the NOS shoots for a while and then quits or do you hold the button down and when you let off its done and is it easy to hurt your engine any info will help

lol, actually its alot like a button or some times a throttle switch, as long as its pressed, nitrous will inject.

ITs easy, and easy to hurt yoru engine too, but taking the necesaary safety precautions will take care of the risk.

btw its nitrous not NOS or nawzzz

You have to be WOT (Wide Open Throttle), if not then the fuel psi will be too low, the car would run lean and go boom :(
You can have a wide open throttle switch, an rpm window switch, a push button and so on.

Many ways to activate it.

Nitrous is NOT safe

Yep, I have a throttle switch and a momentary switch (button) on the shift knob. I am going to get a window switch instead soon though.

Nitrous isn't safe. We all live on the EDGE!! :D

I'm connecting mine to a window switch, a wide open throttle switch, and a fuel pressure safety switch. It's controlled by a switch that you flip up, has a cool safety cover like in jet planes, and I have a momentary on push button for the purge.

I can't decide if I'm gonna spray off the line so it'll hit at 3K rpms where the window switch is set fo, or to flip the switch in second gear...p.s. mine is an automatic

Those are my switches. When I hold down the red one and the arming switch is on, it sprays. Black is purge.

Heres another newb question, How long do you hold it down for, the whole time down the track/race or what?

6shooter, go out on the highway and start at like 50+ mph and see how it is.

I hold my nitrous button down for about 12.4 seconds
