gauges

I am thinking about running an A/F ratio gauge, fuel pressure and n2o pressure to a triple gauge pod, but I don't know if I need all of this. A double gauge pod isn't really cheaper but I'm still thinking I'm gonna drop the fuel pressure gauge and just run A/F and bottle pressure gauges (even though now I'm even questoining the A/F gauge). All I want to know is how hard is it to install these mechanical gauges? Do I just run wires from the 02 sensor and nitrous bottle for both? Do I really need an A/F ratio gauge because I'm not that skilled in the tuning so I wouldn't really know what to do in response if crazy numbers start popping up anyway.

I strongly Suggest a Fuel pressure gauge. If that goes to Zero youre motor fries in its own juices.. if ya know what I mean. Id be less worried about A/F, its not less important per say...but id rather be watching fuel pressure.

why have any gauges at all then?

Agreed, then why have any gauges? You can't control your fuel pressure in the middle of a race any better than you can your A/F ratio...

Why?
Guages are warning indicators.
If something goes wrong then you would know.
If things were weakening then you would now.

Personally I prefer to have them for peace of mind.

Autometer makes an air/ fuel ratio guage. If you get it then get the autometer install kit which comes with an extra o2 sensor and weld in bung. I originally did not do this and spliced into the stock o2 sensor. After a couple weeks I got an SES code for low voltage to an o2 sensor.

Autometer makes a fuel psi guage. You should get the sender unit also (cause it is needed). Install is pretty straight foreward. You would need some fittings to be placed on the stock fuel rail.

Nitrous guage, do not put it in the view of the driver. Just imagine if you were driving and the nitrous somehow leaked, right into your face as you were driving!!!

i put the a/f gauge on and had the same prob. as 12sec. How much is that install kit because thats exactly what i need to hook it back up?
