I have a 94 3.4 with about 140k on it.... it runs fine and I dont have any problmes what so ever. I was thinking about naws...Would it be better for me to get a rebuild ( if so how much does it cost) or to get a new engine which would be a 3.8 i think ( how hard to swap to a 3.8?). or would it be ok to run naws on my ride?

you could run it on your engine, when it blows then get a rebuild
if you are gonna rebuild, expect to pay about 2000 in parts and labor. thats for stock stuff.
you can't swap over to a 3.8 that easily, everythign is different, forget that idea.

actually its Nitrous Oxide Systems. Please do not refer to nitrous as NOS, NOS or N.O.S is a brand name. Same as Nitrous Express, TNT etc. Call it N2O or Nitrous from now on.
To get back to the topic, a full engine swap is the better route to go, however if you are going to do it, go with an LT1 swap, dont waste time putting another v6 in it. Unless that is what you want.
I would recomend doing a engine rebuild before adding nitrous, if you want to keep the same enigne. If you do keep the 3.4 and add nitrous, why not go all out and add forged internals and do a direct port nitrous setup. I am sure for the same amount of money that you would spend on a full LT1 swap you could do the 3.4 rebuild with forged internals with a direct port nitrous setup.
If you want a 3.8 engine swap Mallonyx#2 or whatever is selling his whole 12.9sec engine right as we speak.

If it runs fine now then spray it till it blows up :D
I continue to run a stock engine. Everything is stock in mine except for porting. I spray till it breaks.
The next step for me is to build a forged bottom end for longer life.
I'm not overly experienced with the 3.4L Some of our 3.4L guru's might be able to help with pricingRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
