Do you run at Bandimere? Bandi is at about 5890' which kills ET times. With stock intake(what I am using after nitrous backfires), Edlebrock catback with 2.5" cat, P&P TB, and 3.42s w/ posi on Bridgestone Potenza RE730s using NGK TR-6 plugs gapped at .037 I hit a 16.9 N/A at 3450lbs with me inside and a few gallons of gas. I am hitting 15.3 on a 70 wet shot(13.9-14.0 at sea level). I just got a 1 peice steel DS, and I will be running again tomorrow. Once I get a new CAI, and bump up to an 85 shot or so, I will be getting close to 14s up here which isn't bad at all.

To actually answer your question, I would not go above 100. It is the highest I will go, and I know this car very well with nitrous at this altitude. You car should be able to hit high 14s with a 100 shot no problem, so why break things?

I was up there today and ran. I hit 15.46 @ 90. The 1 peice steel DS improved my trap speed by 2 MPH. I was the second fastest V6 F-body. The fastest was my friend with a 3.4 that has a cam, upgraded just about everything, and a 150 shot! He is really risking it but he got 15.1.

I was spinning a lot today, getting my worst 60' ever on my best run of the day. I would have no problem hitting 14.9 or better on the 100 shot.

My car is a red '96 Camaro with messed up paint on the front and back bumpers(some one hit me and their insurance just paid up). I am pretty sure I was the worst looking 4th gen there all day, but I sure put a lot of cars in their place.

I got your e-mail. You should check out www.coloradof-body.com. If you go watch Club Clash this Friday(, we could hang out and I can show you how to toss a 3.8 into the high 14s/low 15s up here :D . We have a great club, you should come meet everyone or post on our board.

The alltitude is rough, but the 3.8 can really scream if you do it right.

Yeah, that was me. I've decided to cool it a bit on the nitrous till I can get a new intake and replace my nozzle. The nozzle keeps coming loose and pointing twords the side which makes for a nasty little backfire. I plan on getting a NOS fogger over the NX Shark nozzle I have now.

I was also planning on getting the Mini AFC.

Where did you get your car painted? It looks GREAT.

Its the factory paint job. I just keep it real clean I hate a dirty car. I have to get the front bumper repainted tho cause some jacka$$ redneck in a dulie was chaising me and cut me off in the middle of a sand pit from when they city lays sand on the road for winter and sandblasted the hell out of it but im waiting till I get new front gfx to get it painted together. But it can still win a show or two

Would the MAF Translator + be better than the Mini-AFC look here

I've heard the MAF translator plus is REALLY good.
I have not used it so I really can't comment on it.
A lot of my ls1 buddies have it and it seems to work quite well.

I ordered the mini-AFC today. It was cheeper : ) So I dont think I will use the MAFT +. Do you think its better than the MAFC?

I have the maft (not the maft+). Which is about $100 cheaper. The + is the timing. The maft without the + just does a/f. I like it a lot.

It has let me tune for bigger injectors last year, and now a different maf sensor (out of a '96 LT1 Impala). Also to dial in the best wot a/f ratio when spraying a big dry shot.

I saw another post that said the mini-afc was actually making 5% changes, rather than 1% changes... It might have been in advanced tech. It was about a month ago maybe. That's all I know about the mini-afc.
