I am currently installing a NOS 5177 (LS1 kit) on my 94 camaro. I got a heck of a deal on this used from a guy online.
now, this being a dry kit, i have just 2 solenoids for the nitrous (one being a safety backup...). My main question is, how is extra fuel added when the nitrous is engaged? all the parts i recieved were: bottle, lines, assorted jets, wiring, fuel pressure safety switch, and WOT switch. I have read some things about some sort of vacuum component that raises your fuel pressure when the nitrous is engaged?? can anyone give me suggestons????
as of now, ive got the bottle mounted, solenoids mounted, lines hooked up to the solenoids. One other thing i am not sure of is since the guy didnt send me a nozzle, i went and bought one. its a single nozzle, designed for just nitrous flow. Where is the jet supposed to be mounted? Is it mounted in the nozzle? and speaking of jets, what size jet do i need to use in order to acheive a 50 hp. DRY shot?
heres a pic of the nozzle:
wheres the jet go in relation to the nozzle????
finally, the fuel pressure safety switch. I am not sure how to mount this on the fuel rail. the fuel rail has one of those schrader valves on it, ive already taken the core out of the schrader valve out. it looks liek i need some sort of female-female fitting to connect the threaded male part of the FPSS to the threaded male part of the schrader valve? am i making sense here? any ideas on where i can get such a fitting?
thanks for any help/suggestions you guys can come up with.
