ok, i called jegs, and they couldnt tell me sh*t about the contents, so i was wonderin if you guys who have the kit could inform me of whats all included and what i would still need to purchase... things i need and also things i should get. i want the remote bottle opener and heater blanket. what else would be a good idea? also, i want the rev control, but heard i would need the MSD DIS-4 box for that. i already plan on changin out wires and coils soon, but wanted to know if i got the rev control, i would need the box as well. also what size purge valve would i need? i know i have lots a questions, but its because i would like to know what all to get to make the BEST out of this kit. i want to order everything for the kit all at once to save time. i also plan on orderin another bottle to complement the set-up, any suggestions on exactly how to set up something like this? please lend me the info as my eyes get tired and heave from lookin at this computer screen and searchin for an hour on these questions.

The kit will have a 10lb bottle, lines, wiring, relay, switches, solenoids, nozzle, jet. No purge, no heater. It will have a blowdown tube and a fuel pressure safety switch. And it will have the stuff to route a line to your fpr to bump the fuel pressure up.
You can get by with no purge at the track, a quick burnout will purge it.
For back to back passes, or cold weather, a bottle heater is a plus.
Remote bottle opener would be handy, I don't have one yet.
I don't know if the rev control works with the dis-4 box or not. Usually their add-on boxes say they work with their "6" series units.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

In the interior picture on your site, it lookes like an automatic. An rpm/window switch is probably not needed with an auto.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

yep, its an auto... i was under the impression that the rpm switch (maybe im thinkin of rpm controler??? it turns nitrous on and off at selected rpm ranges by plugging in "interchangeable rpm chips") could be used by an auto as well as a manual. could be wrong, not the most informed on the nitrous subject. i was just wanting something like this on my NOS system... something to where i could just arm the system before a run and not worry about pushing a button for the nitrous to flow. something to turn it on and off at a certain rpm and turn off at a certain rpm so i could conserve nitrous and also hopefully reduce wheelspin. thoughts? opinions?2001 camaro v6 red convertable
ggotta go fast... The rpm switch is mostly to keep you from spraying below 3000 rpms, and above your rev limiter.
With an automatic, when you floor it, you're at 3000 rpms by the time the spray hits anyway.
On the top end, the tranny should shift before you hit the rev limiter anyway. Some people have asked about setting an upper limit to keep from spraying through the shift, but everybody I know with an auto sprays through the shift with no problem.
With the kit hooked up the way it comes out of the box, it won't spray unless three things happen: 1. You've turned on the arming switch, 2. You've mashed the pedal all the way down and the WOT switch is engaged, 3. The fuel pressure safety switch sees enough fuel pressure.
So if you let off the gas a little, it will quit spraying. Or if you don't hit wot until you're moving just a bit, you won't spray right away. Similar effect as hooking up a window switch, but without having to hook it up...
No reason you couldn't hook one up if you wanted to though.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

thanks john d., that really shed a lot of light on the subject! i feel more comfortable now with the safty precautions that come right out the box. that was the main thing i was worried about. i dont plan on spraying a lot but id hate to go into it blindly and blow my motor. again thanks2001 camaro v6 red convertable
ggotta go fast... I got my kit from Summit and it had everything EXCEPT the correct fitting that connects the FPSS to the fuel rail... It was a relatively simple install (I installed all the nitrous lines, noids and most of the electric, wanted a professional to do the other things I didn't want to chance) and you will love the results!
Let me know what you think once you hit the WOT switch!
