I am finally getting around to my whole nitrous install. I bought the nos-5175, fpss, dynotune nitrous switch(showed you guys a month ago), purge, and a 255lph Granatelli F-Body intank fuel pump. I need to know if I have to spray with the MAF screen in or not. I p&p my throttle body and took the screen out and my car likes it that way. When I put the screen back in I get a ses light for running too rich!? I took it out and no ses light, but know i am affraid that with nitrous i really need the screen in there(I heard that 12secv6 or james had problems spraying without his screen in). I just wanted to know weather you guys spray with the screen in or are fine spraying without the screen, thanks.

I did and it froze my air temperature sensor causing an SES light. Scared the sh*t out of me.
I put it back in. It never froze again. Whisper Lid/K&N Intake, NOS 5175 Kit w/ Polished Bottle, Moser 3.42\'s w/ Auburn LSD, SLP Ram Air H.O. Hood, Pacesetter Ceramic Coat Headers-3\" in/out hi-flo cat, 3\" I-pipe, Edelbrock Muffler, Boyd Coddington Smoothie Two\'s

Without the screen. My screen got sucked down the tb on a big dry shot... Luckily it wrapped around the maf sensor.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

98 and newer cars seem to have no issue's w/ the screen removed.
97 and older seem to need the screen

take it out, but make sure that the jet is placed as far away from the MAF as possible, to get max diffusion of the nitrous for an accurate reading, plus it'll give the intake air more time and distance to cool off from the nitrous shot, meaning more power.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

as was posted above, i cant remember if you said it was dry or wet or what, if its dry back it off away from the Maf sensor so the is an accurate reading and better air cooling, there was a while where i sprayed 180 degrees away from the intake twords the filter to avoid freezing and that setup worked rather well, enough for a full second drop on a 75-shot.1/4 14.1 @ 99
1/8 9.2 @ 77
