  • Finally got nitrous, but I can't feel my 50shot!

Finally got the nos-5175, purge(not done running the 1/8" tube because i can't find any), and the all mighty walbro fuel pump. I wish I could post pictures b/c my local speed shop did a awesome job of hiding everything. I put a .036 jet in and I checked every thing, but the car does not pull any harder. I know 50hp is not alot but I thought I would feel something. Did you guys notice any gains with the 50 shot or is it time for the 85 shot to feel a difference. I am going to go to the drag strip next tuesday so maybe I will see gains on paper.

I could barely feel the 50 shot when I first started spraying. Jetted up pretty quick, I did.

You should be able to flip the arming switch on (or off) and tell a difference while you have it floored.

I don't think you would just feel the difference otherwise. I hardly could on the 85. Unless I switched it on or off while I was already running wot. On the 120, I definitely did notice a big difference on takeoff and top end. :D

Runmy6, a 50 shot, especially a dry shot, you'll barely feel a difference. It's more like a 35 shot for a dry kit. You're in the lou also, so maybe we can meetup one day.

A shortdog, I have met you before. You have the black firebird and I think I talked to you outside of Hooters on Lindbergh. Email me and we need to race some time, I heard your car was fast on stlstreetracing.com.

Guys I think my fpss or unconstant bottle preasure is causing problems because i can feel and hear the nitrous sometimes alittle bit. I think i am also going to put my maf screen back in since i have a 1996.

Go to your local track and run NA and then spray. Then you'll notice the differance when you see your time slip. I would think that even if you are only getting 35 hp that you would be able to notice it. Oh well what do I know? Ive only ridden in a nossed car once....

Runmy, you're correct. Email sent. Since you're spraying, leave the maf screen out.
