  • New to NO2

I'm thinking of putting NO2 on, can anybody tell me what's the best bang for the buck? Also if and when i hook it up when do you use it( eg. what RPM, what gear?) Where is the best place to hook it up at and do i have to do anything to the engine to beable to use it, would like to not have to. Thanx for any input!!

Its N20, and every single question you asked has been answered before, do a search.

Best bang for the buck? Thats about right, cut corners and get cheap and you might hear a bang or boom :D If you don't have the money to do it right, save and wait. For a wet kit you can spray in 1st gear through 3rd in an A4 abover 3K RPMs, spraying in OD is not good. Not sure what you mean by "best place to hook it up." FOr the engine, lower compression and stronger internals don't hurt, but a stock engine can take a decent shot.

You have a lot of research to do unless you want to break something.

Searck for ignition, fuel pressure, octane, guages, throttle switch, window switch, spraying on an M5 or A4- what ever you have, bottle PSI, and any other questions you have.

If you cut corners and don't do a lot of research, you will cause a lot of damage to your car.

Exactly what he said. All of your questions can be answered through a search. But if you want best bang for your buck, go get a hooker, because I cannot stress enough that if you cut corners with N20, you will be very sorry.

But if you are serious about N20 everyone on this board is extremely "smart" when it comes to nitrous, so just ask. If you want to do it right, I would consider a NX kit, its the most expensive of the big 3 I think, but it is good stuff.

He did ask. Then everyone told him to search:)

Is there a book on N20 that someone could recommend? (The Internet is great and all but I guess I am just old and sometimes I just prefer a hard copy in front of me.)

I am also new to N20 and have given some consideration to installing it someday. I have used search to find information on many topics on this board. However, the only problem is when you find a piece of information there is usually 5 other people that disagree with the information given. How do you know who to believe when you search?
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

12sec recommended me to this book, I know a few others have it. It is an extremely GOOD book, and I feel essential to understanding the way of N20
