Alright, I'm interested in a TNT Wet kit, a friend of mine with a 94 Vert Z28 swears by TNT's systems, so he's sold me.
I know both Magnus and 12SecondV6 use TNT kits, so this question is mainly directed at them, but if anyone else has any insight, it would be appreciated.
Here's what I've got:
97 Camaro A4 3800
3.08 gears, no LSD, rear drums
Two piece steel driveshaft
Modified intake
Soon to have Flowmaster 80 Series plus cat-back.
My questions:
1. Magnus/12SecV6, what are the part numbers for the TNT kits you are running? I want to make sure I get a proven kit, and you two have most definitely made an impact in the 3800 F-Body world. How much do they cost?
2. If the kits do not come with the safety equipment recommended, what other parts should I get? (FPSS, Window switch, etc)
3. Is there any discreet way to install the setup? For example, I want to keep my back seat. What is available as far as a remote bottle opener is concerned, and what would you recommend? I'd like to install the bottle maybe in the spare-tire storage area.
4. I'm looking to run a 100 RWHP shot (TNT kits are based on RWHP from what I've heard.), my motor's internals are stock. From what, I gather, Taylor 8.8mm spark plug wires are a good idea. What else do you recommend I change/upgrade? What sort of spark plugs are a good investment for a smoothly operating nitrous setup?
5. When installed, do you recommend that the MAF screen is removed? I've heard horror stories of the MAF screen being sucked into the engine thanks to a little nitrous hiccup.
6. What else do you recommend that I have not covered?
The thought of running nitrous excites and scares me at the same time, so I want to make sure I get everything done right the first time. Thanks again
