• Why cant we spray more then a 100 dry shot

What is the reason that keeps us form spraying a higher dry shot.

Fuel? what about with a walbro intank, that would solve any fuel problems from the tank. Injectors? whats the real size of them? 12sec if im not wrong said he heard 19lbs while the tech base says 22lbs. What would it take to run more injector with out computer tuning. What is the biggest injector someone is running with stock programing.

Just bring some stuff up to talk about, its too quiet in here

My understanding is that the MAF sensor can't sense that much more oxygen in the intake.

Seppo is running stock LT-1 injectors which I believe are 24lbs. James(12sec) is running bigger injectors as well.

the ls1's maf will register between 450 and 550 hp, depending on year, and dispersion of nitrous.

98's have the least, with 99-02 the same.

With that large of a dry shot ls1, you need to upgrade injectors, but that is easy, because you can tune the ls1 computer. something not easily done with your computers :(

for instance, i have some 42# injectors in my closet now, that will go on with the blower, and i can tune those to drive perfect on, no problem.

But without proper tuning, trying to use a maft, and AFPR, your never going to get it to run right.

Um, no sir.

19 lb STOCK injectors with 90,000+ miles on them
I sprayed a 120 dry shot.
Fuel upgrades:
kenne bell boost a pump
AFPR
Superchips custom programmed computer

I tried bigger injectors and blew ther engine in under 30 days.

<--- still runs stock 19 lb injectors.

Lt1 injectors are 24Lb and I think people don't run more because they are scared.

Yep I ran a 150 dry shot with 24 lb Accel's and a boost-a-pump and a maft. I had to change the maft setting when planning to spray, and change it back when not spraying.

It's difficult to tune a big dry shot for correct ratio that will hold for both spray and na operation on the same set of injectors.

With a wet kit you can tune the na operation with a maft or pcm tuning, and then tune the spray simply by changing the fuel jet if necessary.

Also I was some some kr on the 150 shot...

I traded a new NX 15# bottle for them, so they cost me around 130 after selling the rest of the NX kit for 320. Normally they cost around 299 for a set of 8.

edit. Since i posted this thread, the HPtuner program came out, so many of the newer n20 guys, can possibly run larger injectors, and if the maf will read the additional air, spray a larger dry shot.
