I'm sure this has been discussed before, but...What do you guys think would be the best set up for a daily driven car, that gets dragraced occasionaly? Nitrous, Turbo, or Supercharger.
Basicaly which has the greatest fun factor per dollar?
Also is nitrous worth while if you don't go to the track much?
Turbocharged and intercooled.<br />17psi(oops), stock fuel pump, no FMU<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/id/phoenix64</a> <br />Video: <a href=\"ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com\" target=\"_blank\">ftp://ftp.pfabrication.com</a> Assorted car ****: TurboCamaroFull.
I run 13's at the track and get 33mpg on the highway. I don't think a blower or turbo can do that.

nitrous, along with any power adder, will decrease the life of your engine internals.
most commonly the piston rings with nitrous. depending on how well you use it, how much you use, and how often will determine the life of your engine. also, the main factor is the way it is used. too much nitrous will destroy the rings faster than a proper nitrous fuel mixture would.
also, nitrous keeps your engine spotless. any carbon buildup is gone. its like cleaning your engine each time you hit it, but the sacrifice is shorter engine life.
Sorry I don't know anyone with nitrous, all my car buddies are N/A or FI, but I was really asking for a comparison between forced induction and nitrous.... as far as which is more fun on the street?

well coming from a person that has nitrous, but am good friends with jesse aka Radcat on this board, he has FI.
His car is fun and fast, and you cant substitute for the sound of the blow off valve, but nitrous is also sweet, hell knowing you have an extra 100 HP at your fingertips and with the push of a button anything and everything can change. good stuff, and like a blow off valve for turbo's you just cant substitute rolling up on someone having them talk their ****, purge and the look on there face is DAMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN, its always good
I got stuff...<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum\" target=\"_blank\">http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum</a>
hittin the button is contagious tho, its all you wanna do, well atleast i kno when i first got it i couldnt keep my finger off it, and i think its more fun to roll up to a race with a sh!t talker not purge and then bust their a$$ and they wouldnt even know its there unless u pop ur hood
what do you need to do to ur car in order to put it on there? will my intake and exausht be not enough for it?
also, what is the diffrence between wet and dry kits (costt/install/visibilty,etc...)
thanks everyone...

(i dont know what car and engine you have but this is how i know it worked for me)
well to put it on my car among my other mods i just put the NGK UR6's(3.4) (or TR6s for 3.8)Spark Plugs....i did no modification to the intake i just pluged it bout 3-6in in front of my throttle body on the intake bellow, I used the wet kit it is thought to be some waht "safer" although if u kno anything bout nitrous nothing is technically safe there are just preventative measures to less likely cause harm to the engine....for example bout wet and dry...Dry is just nitrous in the intake where Wet is fuel and nitrous is the intake...Dry 85shot is actually about 75hp and a Wet 75shot is 75hp my wet kit was 660 and i believe the Dry kit is $524.99........
also on install with wet u have to tap into a fuel line or do it the easy way and screw the fuel line from the solenoid into the fuel rail where as with the dry no need to tap into the fuel supply
fuel pressure regulator is also suggest when hookin up the nitrous to your ride however i did not install one on my car
and im sure if theres any other modifications besides spark plugs required to make this work someone else will catch what i missed..
the nitrous is easy to install just do exactly as the directions say and take no shortcuts
i read this along time ago from 12secondV6
Dry kits, as far away from the TB as possible.
Wet kits, as close as possible to TB.
now here's a good question, what size bottles are you guys running, and how much to fill it? The giggle gas can get expensive once you start going through bottles and bottles of it, right 12secondv6

Hehe... I think one of my problems would be I woudl use it too much.
i have used the normal 10 lb bottle, borrowed a friends 15 lb for a track day with our club, now I am looking into running dual 10lb bottles like 12secondv6.
Also 12sec, how did you hook it up, got any pics of the dual bottle set-up?
I got stuff...<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum\" target=\"_blank\">http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum</a>
