• Nitrous w/ automatic??

I was doing some searching and read posts about people saying that nitrous should be used with manuals instead of autos.

Is this true? I have a automatic and I was thinking of like a 75 shot maybe for mine, and this would be a 2 stage kit. PLMK Thanks, I really don't wanna be redoing my tranny.

from what ive been told nitrous is better for autos then sticks really...the transmissions shift faster with autos where as there is room for human error when manuel shifting.....i run nitrous with my auto and it does just fine...Mine is a 75 shot and im gonna go 100..u have a 3.8 so ur cars even better off then mine//////////There is nothing wrong with using nitrous on an auto(i dont mean nothin could ever go wrong cuz any thing can go wrong with any car really but ull be fine usin nitrous on your auto)

          <--- auto

The only thing someone could say is spraying through shifts could affect the bands on the tranny.

I smoked 2 internally stock trannies.

          Mine is beefed up now

Car had 800-900 passes down the 1/4 mile at that point and ENDLESS street races.

I BY FAR have sprayed the MOST amount of nitrous here

here's another thing, James also has a Tc in his auto. a TC by itself can take .5 sec off ur 1/4 times. NA, james runs almost a 13 flat. on NO2, he runs mid-low 12's. that's a second and a half, which the TC helps a lot if it's designed for Nitrous use. A KDS or similar performance tranny rebuild will keep ur tranny alive much longer than having just a stock tranny. I don't plan on getting or using spray till I rebuild my A4. Same might go for a turbo kit, but a turbo puts the power to it a bit easier than nitrous, I think.

So what about a one piece aluminum driveshaft and 160* thermo with nitrous? Should I get a one piece or will I be alright with my 2 piece?

I have a 160* thermo, should I go back to my stock thermo? PLMK guys, thanks.

get a 1LE DS from GMPartsDirect. it's safer than the 2 pc. the 160 thermo will be good w/ the nitrous. cooler motor is better no matter what.
