better hope you have forged internals or say bye bye to your pistons. The 3.4 pistons suck

if im not mistaken Tiago used to run Nitrous when he had stock internal, he also blew out a chunk of his piston.

sho did. Nitrous 85 shot, blew piston chunks.

turbo equivalent of ~200 shot still going still stock internals. :D

im thinking a safe shot for a 3.4 would be like a 20 or 30 shot but thats just not worth it.

i don't get, you blew piston chunks w/ a 85 shot, yet you have a turbo that is equivalent to a 200 shot and have stock internals WTF? something doesn't seen right what did i miss?

only assumption i can make is that the turbo doesn't put as much pressure as the nitrous does all at once.

turbo is "soft" on the internals.

Just go all out and get Ross forged pistons and Manley forged aluminum rods like I did. Then you won't really have to worry about sh!t!

Piston ring gap.
If metal comes off the top of the piston your ring gaps were most likly to tight.
You rings heat up and they close. when ther cold you have about .025'' on a 4'' bore if you are going to run nitrous (more then any thing), turbo or blower you would install them at about .035''.
When they pinch together it seizes the piston by expanding the ring dia. but the piston breaks loose by breaking off piston.

pfft....please im runin a 75 wet shot with no problems give me a break 20 or 30, i could manage a 100 i believe but dont wanna upgrade the fuel pump yet, although as of right now it feels like it could do it without it just wise to have more fuel flow with the increase shot, and a general rule is the car can handle half the horsepower the car makes thus why u see the 3.8 guys runin a 100shot cuz they make 200, 3.4s go 75 cuz they make 160

I'm squeezing a 100 shot through my car right now. I've been squeezing 100 for a couple months now, and i go through a ton of nitrous. At least a bottle a week. Stock internals. I believe tiago messed up his car cuz he redlined it on nitrous if im not mistaken. The redline is very bad for nitrous. I've been lucky... so far. It has taken a toll on my car however. 1-2 bottles a week for the last 8-9 months. My interior smells like nitrous, you'd think it was my air freshener. But it has caught up with me. Valve guide seals and piston rings are due for replacement. Car blows white smoke on start up. I dont know how hard the valve guide seals are to replace so i need to get rid of the car before it's too late.

So besides bad seals what has a 100 shot done for you on the timeslips?
