My buddies' 98 Z28 put down 270 bone stock car runs great other then 130k miles. Maybe the tranny wear is robbing some.

I agree with Timbo, I've seen a stock Trans Am put 305rwhp down with my own eyes.

Typically a stock LS1 will put down anywhere from as low as 280 rwhp to as high as 310 rwhp.

The biggest thing we can get on them is the TQ all right away.

Last run out I trapped 107 mph, but went 12.1 spinning.

It is ALL about the low end grunt and 60's!

I dont mess w/ modded ls1's on the highway, but I pick on them around town :D

It actually doesn't matter what gear the car was in, but yes 4th is 1:1. Remember, you're still reducing everything by the rear gear anyways. Dynojets simply look at the force applied to the roller for a given speed, if you know physics you'll know horsepower is not "wheelspeed" relevant. i.e. 5000RPM in any gear = 200hp on a stock 3.8L.

Yep.. I pulled in 3rd gear.. The 1st time I got my car dynoed was at DTP. It was a 4th gear pull to speed limit with the 50 shot and it put down 242rwhp and 292 tq and a week or so later I went to Holeshot and got dynoed again with the 50 shot and my MSD coil packs and it put down 245rwhp and 294 rwtq in 3rd gear.. I put down 178 to the wheels at DTP on motor and at Holeshot it was 176.

My oil pump didnt want to work no more and with 60,000 miles on my car I spun a bunch of bearings.. ever since then I have been sprayin my new junk yard motor and now my odometer reads 95,000..
