• Gauge pod for nitrous setup?

I'm looking into all the things I'd like to have to go along with a nitrous kit and I think a gauge pod would be a nice toy to have along with my happy gas. The thing is I'm not sure what gauges would be the most useful or what type to get (mechanical or electric?). Anyone have any tips on what would be the most useful types to get? I was thinking at lease A/F, maybe fuel pressure?

You have to get steel braided line to run a nitrous gauge. I wouldn't recommend putting it on the pillar because if there is ever a leak, you could get sprayed in the face.

What shirl said, Run the N20 gauge off the bottle, and an air/fuel and fuel pressure are probably the ones you want.

Whichever should work just fine, electrical are probably more accurate, but also more expensive for the most part.

umm... electric n20 pressure guages are your friend

its not that expensive, when you price in the cost of another long braided line (doing a nhra legal install, with main feedline out of car, and not spliced into a T fitting in the pass compartment) and the required restrictor for "in case" it leaks.

Forgot about that... ;) that's a relatively new product from NX. Good point.

autometer makes them, and sells them under their name as well, in a few series

But if your running the nx kit, i would get the nx one, as it has the cool logo.

I have the autometer electric on the a-pillar works great especially with my remote bottle opener since I don't have to check the spare tire well every 5 minutes while I'm waiting for the bottle to heat up. Plus on my friends LS1 he had a nitrous leak he could'nt figure out he resealed all the treads on everything with teflon paste still had the leak I went over to his house pulled off his a pillar and sure enought there was the leak.

Yup, no mechanical nitrous psi guage due to leaking in your face or worse!

                  Electric only.

TNT sells a set up where you can mount a psi box, w/ screen under the dash.

My buddy has it, very nice!

What about analog liquid filled? I'm thinking about the Autometer ones for Nitrous and fuel press.
