NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems and is a company that sells Nitrous Oxide equipt. You are referring to Nitrous. What kind of mods have done to your car thus far? I would suggest preparing your car for Nitrous by upgrading your suspension, adding an LSD if you don't already have one, getting a good set of tires, getting an aftermarket exhaust system, header, an aftermarket airlid with an aftermarket filter. These are just a few mods I would suggest before using nitrous..

i wouldnt say its cheap power when you have to pay $40 to fill the bottle everytime u run out

but as a pro: it is extra power that can be hidden to use when u need that extra boost
-looks badazz when you purge, and is fun as hell when ya push the button
con:the bottle runs out and when the pressure changes the amount of boost is lowered

suggest bottle warmer when you buy your kit

What kit you getting? An NOS kit or NX or ....

I would say install the kit VERY carefully.
Use the NGK Tr6 spark plugs, with good wires.
Use the WOT switch that comes with the kit, and make sure you run a Fuel Pressure Safety Switch. Maybe add a window switch it is a manual.

You can do a search on any of the above topics, to find out more, or just ask us.

What size bottle do you have? I really hope you have a 20lb bottle if you're paying $40 to fill it up. I pay $2 per/lb of nitrous. FYI I have a 10lb bottle and it usually costs me a little under $20 to fill it up(depending on how much is left in the bottle).
Pros:
-Best Horsepower for your $
-Create a bit of a sleeper(I have my bottle hidden in the spare compartment)
-Purge Kit(I think I use half of every bottle purging)
Cons:
-Engine Damage...considering you are new to nitrous I recommend getting the kit professionally installed(it's not worth the risk)
-When the bottle is empty

Last thing, please research...What kit are you looking for? I know NOS makes a dry kit for our cars with a lot of safety features(blowdown tube etc.) included. I'd have to look up the number...

Pro's, see sig for times.

Con's, see sig link for blown engine.

NOS kit 5175 is a great starter kit.

Since you are in philly, maybe we will meet sometime and you can see my nitrous set up.
