I was wondering if I could just attach the FPSS to the fuel solenoid, like just in front of it. Or does it have to be on that test port on the fuel rail? I have the necessary piece to attach it right before the fuel solenoid, just want to make sure it will still do its job right there. Anybody have any ideas if this is feasible or not? Thanks.

I went with schrader valve area on the fuel rail for convenience.
As long as it is between fuel rail and fuel solenoid you would be okRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
