  • SmallShots??

I want to put a little juice into my 98 auto trans but I'm not sure how to go about starting off. Since my car is basicaly stock I'm not sure how much I can use without hurting anything...can anyone help me out here? I couldn't get anything out of the search so....

    Thanks for hearing me out*

Well, what mods do you have? Do you have an exhaust like a catback on your car? Also do you have any intake work (i.e. have a CAI) done? With just some basic mods your car will handle a 50 shot just fine

        Is this a v6 or V8?

        Your profile says V6?
You mentioned trans, unless you mean automatic tranny.

NOS kit 5175, nice n easy. Do a search for all the reccomended additions

okay here's the entire list of my mods:

fast toys ram air kit, KN air filter, 160 degree thermostat, bosch spark plugs, stage 2 jet chip, and a z728 muffler and tips that where welded to the original pipes so my exhaust it all stock except for the muffler and tips.

Haha yeah 12sec I wish I had a 98' trans am but no my car is a 1998 3800 v6 camaro with the automatic transmission...sorry I should have explain that better.

Anyway I'm not trying to add a whole lot of power simply because my car is a daily driver "I only drag an average of one or two runs a month" so I'm looking for reliability, If anything gets ****ed up I'm stuck because I can't pay to fix anything expecialy considering I'm a student.

Sounds good...so I'll have to ditch the jet chip? I figured that....what platimun spark plugs?? I heard I wouldn't be able to use those either....Also if anyone has a good guess, how much hp do you think I have with my current mods??

plat. spark plugs will have to go, get NGK TR6 spark plugs, that's what pretty much everyone uses with nitrous on our cars. They are a good cheap plug, like 2 bucks a piece I think.

I have used about 2 bottles so far, and no problems, I love it, I plan on changing the jets to a 75 shot here soon. In the future I am going to go with a 100 shot once I get a tranny cooler and a new walbro fuel pump. But yea I love my NX wet kit.

                              Platinum plugs, ditch them
                              Jet chip, ditch it

Other than that, a simple 50 shot is ok, 85 dry from a nos kit 5175 wakes the car up nicely :D
