Affect of nitrous to compression ratio?

I know that nitrous effectively raises the compression ratio of the engine its used on but is there a formula to figure out what the compression ratio would be changed to per a given shot of spray?

how does N2O raise the CR ? it dosent change the bore, the stroke, head volume....

i dont think it raises compresion. you want to lower the compression if your doing a big shot to avoid detonation.

There's static compression and dynamic compression. It wouldn't change the static compression. Because of the cooling effect on the intake charge (making it more dense), it might be considered to change the dynamic compression. I don't know of a formula for it.

It will definitely increase the cylinder pressure.

You are thinking of cylinder pressure, not CR.

And yes, nitrous send your cylinder pressure through the freakin' roof.

Actually, I am thinking about cylinder pressure and the dynamic compression ratio. Since the nitrous is sooo cold, it make the air more denser thereby increasing the dynamic compression ratio.

I've heard.... from nitrous guys at the track.... it makes the car act like a much higher compression car.

I heard rumors.... 20 to 1+

No proof though

Not aware of any formula either
