  • I saw something at the track and i have a question about it....

there was a Z28 running nitrous. well, he pulled up to the tree and when he started to stall it up, something exploded. loudest noise i have ever heard. he turned the car off and popped the hood. the guy at the tree stuck his head under there he picked up his CAI that had been blown off his intake manifold along with the MAF sensor. and the CAI got broken cause there where blastic peices on the ground. what would make this happen? me and my friends dad who runs nitrous sometimes came to agreement that he didnt have his shot come on only at WOT. are we right?

I'd have to say you are correct. Sounds like he sprayed while stalling lol. Nitrous backfires can suck

yea he probably had a window switch for certain RPMs and forgot about making sure it was at WOT. So most likely a nitrous backfire. What an idiot, lol

gots to have the fuel pressure safety...i have that on mine...if im at WOT but the fuel pressure isnt there it shuts the system down...i was doing a practice run and didnt realize i still had the nitrous armed...stomped it to the floor...all it did was stall...phew!...but yeah....that sucks

                    Typical wet kit backfire.

I've posted video and pictures of the after effects of a wet kit backfire :(

                    Hit too low an RPM
Fuel puddled in the intake manifold
                    And many other typical reasons
