  • NOS 5175 or the universal 6-cyl NOSzle kit?

i've been wondering about this...the NOSzle kit is almost a direct-port system, which would be the best you could get, but the 5175 kit is made specifically for our cars. what would i need to do to modify the NOSzle kit to make it work?

    What are your goals?

For a basic kit you can't beat the 5175, just get the safety stuff w/ it and you'll be good to go.

Easy install, good gains, save you lots of money over the noszle system.

OK how about this...if money were no object, the NOSzle kit would be the best bet right?

If money were no object yes I'd get the noszle kit, its a little eaiser than actually tapping for a direct port kit, but should give you the same results.

If money is no object I would get a direct port system with hard metal lines.

I'm not overly thrilled with the NOSzles direct port system.

Off the top of my head I've seen several magazine dyno results and the rwtq gains were kinda low. Yes, it is a safer set up... but I have found that the metal line system which is known as the traditional direct port system which has the intake manifold drilled and tapped seems to yeild better RWTQ numbers.

NOS kit 5175 is a nice starter kit to see how you/ your car likes nitrous.

just how much would a direct-port job cost? not that i'm ever getting one anytime soon, i'm just wondering.

                    1200 bucks?

                    Haven't priced out from scratch.

I've been quoted 600+ to convert my present kit over
